Things to do
Andalucia is a melting pot of entertainment and culture; the people are arguably the friendliest in Spain and the fiestas and ferias are a feast for the senses. There is truly something for everyone.
Gibraltar
There is much more to Gibraltar than just a rock - take a fishing, sailing or dolphin-watching trip, go scuba diving, see the apes and enjoy some duty-free shopping.
Tarifa
Tarifa lies on the Atlantic coast at the southern tip of the beautiful, undeveloped Costa de la Luz. The huge white beach stretches for miles, and the town is renowned as the windsurfing and kite-surfing mecca of Europe. The vibrant nightlife in this hip town really gets going during the warm months, with plenty of stylish bars and clubs to choose from.

Sotogrande
In addition to its famous golf courses, this exclusive resort has a magnificent marina and polo fields where games can be watched free of charge during the season.
White villages
Explore the stunning countryside and its picturesque white villages, nestled in the mountains. Ronda is one of the oldest in Spain and is steeped in history.
Seville and Jerez
These spectacular cities boast fascinating history and architecture, mixed with modern Spanish life, as well as authentic flamenco and fiestas. Seville, the captial of Andalucia, hosts the country’s most moving Easter pagent during Semana Santa, then the fun-filled Feria de Abril. In Jerez, visit the sherry bodegas, or watch the world-famous dancing horses at the Real Escuela Andaluza de Arte Ecuestre.

Morocco and Ceuta
The high-speed ferry from Algeciras or Tarifa to Tangier takes just 40 minutes. Go on an organised tour or make your own way.
Walking and bird-watching
The area has many spectacular walks and is also a bird-watchers’ paradise. The Strait of Gibraltar is a key point of passage for birds such as storks and raptors migrating between Africa and Europe.
Walk in either the 360 hectare pine forest of Pinar del Rey, which begins just below San Roque, or the nearby Alcornocales National Park, which covers 170,000 hectares.
Whales and dolphins
The Strait of Gibraltar is one of the best areas in Europe to encounter different species of whales and dolphins. Boat trips depart from La Linea (10 minutes drive), Gibraltar and Tarifa.
Local markets
If you’re up bright and breezy, don’t miss a visit to one of the many colourful street markets in the area offering leather goods, Moroccan wares, locally produced jewellery and furniture - there is many a bargain to be had!

Horse-riding
The stables at the San Roque Club offer hacks into the countryside and lessons in show jumping and dressage. If you prefer something more laid-back, go for a gallop along the beach at Tarifa.
Yoga, Reflexology & Massage
Marcia, who has 20 years of teaching experience offers yoga sessions in her house which is 5 minutes walk away.
Rose is a certified Reflexologist so if you have any aches and pains or just fancy a detox and general boost you don’t have far to go! Reflexology is a therapy that treats the feet in order to stimulate the body’s own healing system and bring it into balance.
Massage can be arranged at the house too if you let me know a few day in advance.
